Description
This is our Reversing Camera Kit for the Mini Countryman ( F60 ) from 2018 onwards with the newer style screen as shown by the ( Green Ticks ) in photo No.7. If your Countryman is a 2017 or early 2018 model and has the older black style screen then please let us know so we can send the correct interface for that Screen Resolution. This kit will fit both the 6.5” and the 8.8” screens. This is a plug and play interface done at the rear of the screen and the radio unit fitted behind it and does not require any coding. Once fitted the camera image will be displayed onscreen giving you ‘Dynamic Parking Guidelines’ that predict the trajectory of the vehicle. Use your iDrive to enter the interactive menu that the factory option has to access Brightness & Contrast controls or to switch Off / On – The Parking Sensor Blocks and Dynamic Guidelines. It comes complete with our low voltage NTSC wedge style Camera – which will fit neatly to the existing tailgate handle / number plate light plinth. I needed a couple of videos on you tube here and there but for someone who has never fitted a reverse camera before or had any experience I was able to do this easily in 3 hours from start to finish!

Perfect Solution, easily fitted with comprehensive instructions provided. I had tried another make without success so was slightly apprehensive. There was no need Dougie can straight back to me confirming my screen and configured it perfectly. Total time to fit was around 2 hours. The 3mm fishing rods (toolstation) were a godsend to get the cable into the hatchback. This wont improve my wife’s reversing but now she will be able to see where she is going wrong!

I wasn’t sure about fitting this kit, but the instructions were really good, really comprehensive, and I found it pretty straightforward. A combination of plastic and stainless steel trim removal tools, together with a 3mm fish tape, made it all easily managed by a competent DIY man who would never, ever, claim to be a mechanic.

So easy to fit, the time consuming part is threading the wires /removing and replacing the trim! Had to call up as the screen wasn’t working but this was my fault as I’d stated my screen was 8″ but is actually 6″. Couple of minutes on the phone and I was sorted!

All the components in the kit look and feel top quality. Delighted with the finish product and it’s hard to belive it wasn’t factory fitted. The usb supplied with fitting instructions provided all the information needed for a successful install. Trim removal tools are a must.

Purchased this kit just before xmas to install as a surprize on the wifes Mini. Ended up getting my brother a mechanic to install it, so I can’t comment on ease of fitting or difficulty, he said it was a breeze but he takes cars apart for a living. I can comment on the quality and perfomance of the kit and it is excellent, I highly reccomend it to anyone, trully enhances and upgrades the car greatly.
